This week in Woodlands
Dear Parents
On behalf of the Team, I would like to thank you for bringing your amazing 2,3 & 4 year olds to Woodlands this week, whether they are joining us for the very first time or are returning after the school break they have taken to Woodlands like ducklings to water! We have focused on good manners, hand washing, lining up, listening to adults and each other, using paint and cleaning up, sharing resources and using sand timers to help us make it fair, eating at a table with friends and the age old bane of teachers’ lives….tidying up!
The children have thrown themselves into all of the above with confidence and good nature. Here are some photos from the past 5 days.
My quote of the week is; ‘Crikey, who spilt this water on the floor? This behaviour is unacceptable!’ And I am quoting a 3 year old, not an adult!
Next week we will transition into a slightly more structured week by adding in PE, Phonics and Maths lessons, as well as music sessions and Mr Bullock’s and Mr Balfour’s assemblies.
Please can I urge you to log in to your Tapestry accounts and keep abreast of all the goings-on in Woodlands. I think you will be surprised at just how much learning, exploration, play and fun goes on in one day.
As I always say, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us if you have queries, comments, or questions. We are here to work in partnership with you as together we strive to make your children’s nursery days as outstanding and as ambitious as we possibly can.
