Curriculum Enrichment
Experiential, hands-on learning – or curriculum enrichment – is a key part of the Beechwood Park curriculum, and we actively seek ways to bring learning to life beyond timetabled lessons. Throughout the School, we place great emphasis on learning outside the classroom so that pupils are provided with enriching experiences.
Every week at Beechwood Park is different; our children learn to expect the unexpected! Wherever we can, we enhance and enrich our classroom curriculum with school trips, and many events and activities. Anything from a visit from a Viking to re-enacting the Battle of Hastings, from chatting with bestselling children’s authors, to acting out a coronation and investiture in the playground, from a visit to the Roald Dahl Museum to team-building activities both in school and on residential trips.
Notable cultural and religious events are celebrated, such as Diwali, Chinese New Year and Christingle, and visiting speakers and experts share their knowledge with children from across the whole School.
