Headmaster’s Welcome

Welcome to Beechwood Park.

As one of the leading preparatory schools in the country, I am thrilled and delighted you are visiting our website today.

Beechwood Park is a tremendously exciting, energetic, co-educational Prep school for children from 3 to 13 years of age, set in acres of beautiful grounds in the idyllic Hertfordshire countryside.

Beechwood Park children are remarkable individuals. They are happy, caring and confident learners that are allowed to make mistakes, without fear of failure.

Our children are genuinely at the ‘heart of everything we do’ as we develop:

‘21st century learners and principled citizens with a caring sense of adventure’.

In addition to this, it is my belief that every child has unique talents that make them who they are. At Beechwood Park, we harness and develop those talents, alongside a ‘can do’ attitude and a strong work ethic, to ensure that, at the end of their Beechwood Park journey, your child has the skills, ability and attitude to be successful in their exciting future.

The highly experienced team of staff, excellent facilities, resources and opportunities the school offers all children at Beechwood Park make it an extremely exciting and ‘magical’ place to learn.

Our ‘excellent in all areas’ ISI Inspection report (2019 and 2022) independently captures what Beechwood Park offers its children. However, our website can only provide you with a small snapshot of school life.

Therefore, if you are looking for a truly inspiring, engaging and nurturing, all round education for your child, that helps them to be the ‘best version of themselves’ in all that they do, please do visit us.

My wife Zoe, Head of Woodlands Nursery at Beechwood Park, the staff team and I are all looking forward to meeting you in due course. Please contact the Head of Admissions, Louise Lynes on admissions@beechwoodpark.com as she would be delighted to arrange a personal visit for you.

Pupils are challenged to succeed by their teachers and so feel safe attempting to work and perform at the highest levels
ISI 2019
Beechwood pupils are significantly ahead academically. When they join Woodlands Nursery they straddle the National average 50/50, but by the time they reach Seniors, most will be 2-3 years above the National average, so in ten years they develop by 12-13 years.
