This Week in Woodlands
Dear Woodlands Families,
As I write this, I am conscious of the reality we are living at this point in the 2022 school year! Shows, parties, fayres, nights out, Carol Services, booking baby sitters and wrapping presents, to list just some of our getting ready for Christmas events.
Ought we complain though? Think back to December 2020 and how we longed for social gatherings of more than three families. Woodlands is adding to your ‘to do’ lists as well, I know. Thank you for joining in!
We have loved welcoming visitors to Woodlands this morning for another wonderful ‘My Special Adult In The House’ event, at the same time as Kate’s Wreath Making event (Thank you, Kate and Amy). There is still so much to look forward to in these next two weeks, notably:
- The Woodlands Show
- Woodlands Carols & Cake
- Children’s Christmas Movie Afternoon,
- The Woodlands Christmas Party
- The Whole School Christmas Jumper Day
- Christmas Lunch.
We are also making Christingles, along with Reindeer Chocolate Slabs, Christmas Pudding Cakes and “tell me my height” baubles.
We aim to create a wonderful, fun, celebratory atmosphere in Woodlands, whilst ensuring that our Woodlanders hear about the meaning behind all the tinsel and gifts.
I want to thank Mr Bullock for his weekly assemblies which help your children to think about others before themselves all through the year as well as teaching the children more about the birth of Jesus.
As our 2022 Show draws closer, I am delighted and excited to witness just how much your children have developed and grown in self confidence since September.
I hope that the Show, this year entitled; ‘The Insects Tell Out The News’, will be a celebration of the children’s learning and skills for you all to see. Packed with songs, dance, words and laughter, we are excited to spend an hour together as the Woodlands Community this Christmas.
Enjoy the Christmas Fayre on Saturday and do visit the Woodlands Fairy Cake Decorating Stall.
And if you have any energy left, enjoy your weekend.
Here are some photos from the week:
With best wishes,
