ROAR – Co-Curricular Provision
At Beechwood Park, your child will be able to throw themselves into a whole host of co-curricular clubs and activities – we will help them to discover their ‘roar’!
Clubs are introduced gradually in the Junior Department, and when pupils reach the Middle and Senior Department they are able to sign up for both lunchtime and after school clubs.
Taking part in co-curricular activities teaches pupils valuable skills, alongside being lots of fun; we encourage all pupils to have a go, to try something new, build their confidence, boost their wellbeing and make new friends.
It is our aim to introduce children to a wide range of possibilities – both indoors and outdoors – making the best use of our extensive facilities to enable children to develop key skills and abilities that reach far beyond the National Curriculum. From swim training in the pool to LEGO Engineering in the DT Suite, Cheerleading in the Sports Hall to Music Tech in Mac Suite, we are pretty sure we have most bases covered! Passionate staff members enjoy sharing their own interests with pupils, and we also use specialist instructors for certain sports, like Fencing, as well as our ever popular LAMDA Speech and Drama option.
As is often said, the learning that takes place outside the classroom can be as valuable as that which happens inside!
