11+ and 13+ Preparation

Beechwood has a long and proud record of sending children to a wide range of senior independent schools across the local area, the region and nationally. We are committed to providing exceptional 11+ and 13+ preparation, guiding and supporting families to find the RIGHT school for each child. 

Whilst our primary focus is on preparing children for 13+, we of course provide support in preparation for 11+ for those families who wish to move their child to a senior school at 11 for Year 7 entry.   In short, pupils will be prepared for any examination that they may have to take for entry into another school.

Moving on to Senior School at either age 11 or age 13 is a big event in your child’s educational journey, and we will work with you to ensure that they have all the skills needed to succeed as they leave us.  Whilst it is daunting, it is also exciting, and we will work in partnership with you, collaborating to ensure the best outcome for each child.

Beechwood is proud to be a truly independent prep school, meaning our pupils and their parents are able to “keep their options open” – our pupils move on, at both 11+ and 13+, to day and boarding schools, to single sex and co-educational schools;  wherever the next step takes them, parents can be reassured that their child will have been well-prepared for the adventure ahead.
